|  Featured Product for June: Artfelt Hearts Purse KitArtfelt is a new twist on an old craft. Felting is the process of creating felt from wool by compressing the fibres. Historically this is been achieved using soap and water- a messy process! Now, there's another way, using a sharp needle with tiny barbs on which, when pushed through the wool, weaves the fibres together, compressing them into felt. The process is completely dry, hence the craft is often called dry felting or needle felting.
Artfelt offers a range of dry and wet felting kits- this Artfelt Hearts Purse Kit is an absolute bargain as it contains a Merino wool purse plus three brightly coloured balls of Nepalese Merino wool as well as the needle, instructions and shapes required. It's a project that can take as long as you want to produce- if you're not happy with the results when you start, simply pull off the wool before it's properly compressed and start again.
