| Candle Making Kits | | Candle making is at its heart a simple yet effective hobby- melt wax, pour into a prepared mould, and let it set. There is of course a lot more to it than this, especially if you want to produce advanced candles such as gel candles or floating candles. However, the basics, such as scented candles and coloured candles, are easy to master and very satisfying!
Our candle making kits cover all varieties of candle, including beeswax candles, traditional solid candles and the newer and very popular gel candles. All the kits contain the moulds you need plus supplies of wax, stearin, wick and tools, and all the solid candle kits include colouring to allow you to create multicoloured candles. As you move up the range you gain more supplies, better quality moulds, and extra decorations which allow you to personalise the candles. Our prices start from below £5 so there's no reason to wait- get involved today!
Our range of candle making kits is suitable for absolute beginners as well as more experienced users.
We also offer replenishments of both traditional candle wax and the more modern gel wax so that you can continue to use our candlemaking kits when the supplies included have run out!
While all the ingredients are supplied, you'll need two saucepans that fit inside each other to melt the wax, or one saucepan and several empty, clean tin cans for different colours of wax.

| Glass Painting & Engraving | | Glass painting and glass engraving go hand in hand- they have both been used down the centuries to decorate windows and objects, sometimes telling stories or of famous events. Stained glass of course is often seen in church windows and our kit (which uses acetate sheet rather than glass) aims to reproduce the effect of stained or painted glass, for a beginner. The inks can be used to decorate any glass object and this kit is a perfect entry to this popular pastime.
Glass engraving uses the Swiss method of hand engraving to produce some fine artwork. The tool is a quality item which will last a lot longer than the kit, so you'll be checking your cupboards for other glass items to use it on! |

| Nature & Activity Kits | | Activity kits are not craft based- they're complete sets of themed activities in a box! These kits will give you a great reason to venture outside and away from the computer,as they're designed to educate and inspire. Activity kits often encourage participation by several people at once, where everyone concerned can learn and enjoy. Many of the activity kits featured here are reworkings of traditional activities or products - for example the crystal radio kit and pinhole camera kit - and the range has been produced in such a way that you'll continue to learn more about the subject the longer you continue with it.
Beautifully presented and with clear instructions throughout, these kits are designed by a small company with a passion for traditional crafts and products. They're mostly produced in the UK and many of the materials used, including all the wood, comes from sustainable sources. It's rare to find a company producing this level of quality in the UK nowadays, and we're delighted to be a stockist. |

We define kids as under 14, but many of the kits here are suitable for children of 8 years up. Every kit is a complete craft project allowing a child to create a craft item with lots of fun, and sometimes lots of mess too! Parental supervision is optional- some kits are perfect for families to spend some quality time together, while other kits are better for children looking to achieve something alone. Perfect as a gift, for a rainy afternoon, or just for the fun of it, these kits are well priced, easy to complete, and produce a finished article that children will be able to use and have fun with. As well as the craft kits in this section you will find other kits suitable for children in our Introductory Craft section. |

The Start A Craft range are really well priced at only £4.95. Each Start A Craft kit is supplied with clear, easy to follow instructions and contains everything you need to produce the finished product. Each kit has been designed to be an easy example of the craft and so it's the perfect way to check whether the craft is right for you. Our other introductory craft kits are made by Dempsey Designs, a small UK based company specialising in fun to complete craft kits. |
| Advanced Craft Kits | | Our advanced craft kits are designed to provide a more thorough approach to each craft, using more advanced techniques, larger quantities of supplies, and higher quality tools and equipment. If you're serious about a craft, but don't know where to start, these advanced kits make it easy to get involved. Like our other kits, they're complete with no extra items required to complete the craft project, but they're also more detailed and often include those components that add a professional finishing touch to the item- for example the Creative Candle Kit includes scent to perfume the wax of the candles.
These kits will provide hours of enjoyment and the end results will be items which have an intrinsic value, either for the maker or as a gift. The higher price of the kits reflects the larger quantity of items that each kit is capable of making, as well as the higher quality of each finished craft item. Many provide quality tools which you can use as the basis for a craft tool box after the kit has been finished. |
