Mosaic Mad Romans!

Mosaic Mad Romans are a UK based business specialising in making mosaics fun! With their fresh, unusual approach, funky packaging and kits aimed squarely towards children, they're proving very popular. The kits utilise components not often found in mosaics, such as Amethyst chips, feathers, glitter and ribbons. Every kit comes complete with a little book of wisdom, which gives lots of fun facts about Romans and mosaics, as well as instructions for all models.

Mosaic Mad Romans have been running school workshops for several years and are experienced mosaic artists, having worked on prestige projects including the Orient Express.

The image you see here is of the Gaby Cake kit from packaging, to making, then completion. The total time taken was around 1 hour, and accomplished with ease by a 9 year old. Throughout the project those involved remained absorbed and interested, and proud of the finished piece. Most pieces are supplied either with a metall loop or ribbon from which they can be hung on a wall.

The kits are mostly suitable for ages 7+ and present a fun way of learning mosaic art while referencing traditional Roman mosaic principles. All tools and materials are included and there's no cutting or breaking of tiles so less to worry about! All kits are CE approved. The printed cardboard packaging looks great and incorporates lots of fun details- the kits make fabulous presents!
