Mosaic Kits for all abilities and ages

Our mosaic kits are designed to be an enjoyable introduction to an art form thought to originate over 4000 years ago in Roman and Byzantine societies. While many things have changed over the years, the basic principles of mosaic remain the same- the creation of a design using coloured pieces of stone, glass and other materials set into a solid background.

Our mosaic kits are produced by Mosaica, a specialist craft mosaic producer based in the UK, who have been in the business for over 16 years. All the kits use Italian glass mosaic tiles which are considered the highest quality, and every mosaic kit comes complete with everything required to finish the mosaic. The level of detail supplied is great- kits include gloves and mixing sticks for the grout!

For younger enthusiasts, where breaking tiles can be a problem, the Mini Mirror Kits use a pattern containing only square tiles, which don't require breaking. All the other kits need the tiles broken, which is easily achieved by rolling in several layers of newspaper and hitting with a hammer- very satisfying!

All kits are suitable for ages 14 plus although many can be completed by children as young as 6 with adult supervision.
